We had a distress call from zambulkra primary school that several children were suffering from malaria. So the team quickly mobilized malaria test kits and malaria medicine and went for the health screening.
The first 75 children tested for malaria, 70 children were positive for malaria.
They were all treated and those with severe malaria were referred to Nalerigu Baptist Hospital for further treatment.
The community need a primary health facility to serve zambulkura and other nearby communities in the Sakogu Sub District in the East Mumprusi Municipality of the North East Region of Ghana.
